LONDON — William Morris was named director of marketing at Reed Midem, part of trade and consumer events organizer Reed Exhibitions, May 16.
He joins mid-June and will oversee marketing of Reed Midem’s international exhibitions that include Midem, MipTV and Mipcom. He will report to Paul Zilk, chief executive of Reed Midem.
Morris joins Paris-based Reed Reed Midem from the Walt Disney Company, where he was VP for marketing and branding at Disneyland Resort in Paris. He led the re-branding of Disneyland Resort Paris and was instrumental in the launch of Walt Disney Studios, Disney’s second Paris theme park.
Before Disney, Morris spent 11 years in the airline industry, where he held European and national marketing and sales roles at British Airways and its subsidiary, Air Liberté.
Reed Midem is a sister organization of Daily Variety, both of which are owned by Reed Elsevier.
