NEW YORK — Digital entertainment distributor OlympuSat will launch a Russian-lingo net, Russian World Television, in August.
Channel will be the first created for a Russian-speaking audience in the U.S.
“Our research has shown that specific markets around the country have a large Russian-speaking population that hungers for Russian-language programming,” said Tom Mohler, OlympuSat’s prexy. “We are addressing this need.”
Channel’s sked will have programming from Russian TV including news, children’s programming and talkshows. Slate also will include series “Adaptation,” to help expats adjust to their new lives in America.
