Discovery Channel India plans to pep up its image with adult-themed latenight programs.
The channel will launch the “Late Night Discovery” programs Monday.
Discovery also has reconfigured other slots to suit all age groups. The channel has introduced nine new time periods targeting women and children as part of a new marketing strategy.
According to Deepak Shourie, managing director of Discovery India, the new slots showed increases of 21% in primetime viewership, a 20% jump in kids audience and 43% in women’s viewership.
