NBC plans to get a head start on its Sept. 11 anniversary coverage.
The commemoration, which the Peacock calls “America Remembers,” will begin Sept. 10 with two hours of primetime programming related to the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
The next day will feature continuous coverage, beginning with a six-hour version of the “Today Show” through to “Nightly News,” which will break up the special for a half-hour. More commemoration-related content will follow through primetime.
According to a net spokeswoman, NBC hasn’t decided whether commercial time will be available.
