Retired Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf and investor Warren Buffett are the celebs to lend their voices to PBS kiddie skein “Liberty’s Kids.”
Animated series will depict the origins of the nation from the Revolutionary War to the inauguration of George Washington. History will be told over 40 episodes from the perspective of three teens working for Benjamin Franklin’s newspaper.
Schwarzkopf will voice Col. George Rogers Clark, who led the American troops against American Indian attacks. Buffet will voice Continental Congress member and the fourth U.S. president, James Madison.
Walter Cronkite (Benjamin Franklin), Dustin Hoffman (Benedict Arnold) and Sylvester Stallone (Paul Revere) are among other stars participating.
“Liberty Kids” is produced by DIC Entertainment and will bow on Labor Day (Sept. 2).
