“Good Morning America” has tapped Alex Cambert as a Los Angeles correspondent. The former Telemundo reporter will cover entertainment and lifestyle news.
Cambert, who was senior entertainment correspondent for the Hispanet’s “Edicion Especial” and the host of the 2000 Billboard Latin Music Awards, will exclusively help the ABC News ayemer with interviews and access.
“Alex is well-known to the entertainment community,” “GMA” exec producer Shelley Ross said. “He comes with a built-in red carpet.”
Ross said that the role was specifically created for Cambert, who will compete against Jill Rappaport of NBC’s “The Today Show” and Hattie Kaufmann of CBS’ “The Early Show” for the big gets.
His start date has not yet been announced.
