Fox’s ‘Fastlane’ passes competish

Fox’s “Fastlane” didn’t exactly accelerate out of the blocks Wednesday night but it did open to solid numbers for the net, which got better news from the premiere of variety show “Cedric the Entertainer Presents.”

According to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, action drama “Fastlane” averaged a first-place 4.8/13 in adults 18-49 in the 9 o’clock hour opposite pretty weak competish (“The Latin Grammys” on CBS and repeats on the other nets). In total viewers, it averaged 9.9 million viewers to finish second.

At 8:30, “Cedric” won in all key demos, including adults 18-49 (4.5/13), holding all of its lead-in from the season preem of “Bernie Mac,” which also led its timeslot (10 million, 4.5/14 in 18-49).

The 3rd “Latin Grammys” fared poorly for CBS from 9 to 11, averaging just over 4 million viewers.

Fox took the night in all categories.
