Fox News has signed “Your World” anchor Neil Cavuto to a new contract that will keep him at the cabler for another five years.
With more than 680,00 viewers on average tuning into the 4 p.m. show for the past six months, the 43-year-old hosts the top-rated business skein on cable.
By comparison, CNN rival Lou Dobbs’ “Moneyline,” which airs weeknights from 6-7 p.m., attracts an average of 475,000 viewers. During the same time period, CNBC’s two-hour “Business Center,” which begins at 5 p.m., averages 270,000, according to Nielsen.
Though the programs’ different schedules do not make them direct competitors, the three share a similar mix of economic and stock marketnews.
