HOLLYWOOD — Producers Mark Efman and Mark Farrell have joined Tollin Robbins Prods.-produced Nickelodeon series “The Nick Cannon Show” as co-exec producers and showrunners.
Production on the 13-episode second season of the live-action comedy-reality show is under way, with Cannon, Brian Robbins and Michael Tollin continuing as exec producers. Cannon had served as showrunner in the first season.
In season two, which premieres Sept. 21 at 9:30 p.m., Cannon will take his shenanigans to a mall, a zoo, a circus, a hospital, Las Vegas and a wedding.
A new hidden-camera element will capture people’s reactions as they unknowingly participate in Cannon’s stunts, and celeb guest appearances will continue to be part of the show. Cannon will reprise such characters as “La Tanya” and “Francis Spunkel,” as well as introduce new alter-ego personalities “Aunt Pearl,” “Dirty Larry” and RRRRRico.”
Efman, who is repped by Abrams Rubaloff & Lawrence, counts former FX series “The Test” among his credits, as well as “My VH1 Music Awards.” Credits for Farrell, who is repped by Howard Entertainment, include HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and Comedy Central’s “Lounge Lizards.”
