‘Tadpole’ swims into view

Stanford took role due to 'razor-sharp' script, make out sessions

If youth is wasted on the young, no one told the crowd that gathered Monday night for Miramax’s premiere of “Tadpole.”

Bright young indie things flocked to the screening and after-party at the W New York Hotel to celebrate the Sundance hit.

Pic’s three co-stars — Aaron Stanford, Robert Iler and Kate Mara — all fulfilled their filial duties by bringing their parents along.

Stanford acknowledged it was the “razor-sharp” script by Heather McGowan and Niels Mueller that attracted him to the project, but also pointed out, “Who wouldn’t want to make out with Sigourney Weaver and Bebe Neuwirth?”

Also attending from the pic were co-star John Ritter; helmer Gary Winick; producers Caroline Kaplan, John Sloss, Jonathan Sehring and Alexis Alexanian. Miramax’s Harvey Weinstein, Meryl Poster and Mark Gill welcomed guests Bob Balaban, Stanley Tucci, Edie Falco, Bill Pullman, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Zach Braff.
