Oliver Stone and Fidel Castro shot the post-prandial breeze recently at the Terraza Restaurant, Cohima, one of Ernest Hemingway’s favored haunts after fishing trips. With the conspiracy theorist and conspiracy victim having hit it off at an initiatory six-hour dinner, Stone just wrapped three days of in-depth interviews with Castro. Dinner subjects ranged from Castro’s view of his country to the Cuban missile crisis. Produced by Spain’s MediaPro, Pentagrama Films and Morena Films and Fernando Sulichin, the docu should be ready for delivery around this fall. Its format — TV and theatrical — still has to be determined.
