Ahmanson dresses for ‘Monty’

Fundraiser supports youth programs

The Center Theater Group Affiliates got a sneak peek at tuner “The Full Monty” at the Ahmanson Friday night as the org raised $86,000 for its education programs. The biennial fundraiser — known as Angels’ Night Lite — supports Performing for Los Angeles Youth and Young Audiences Program, CTG’s outreach programs for young people.

Attending the evening were CTG artistic director Gordon Davidson, above left, cast member Aaron Lohr, event co-chair Ava Fries and her husband, film/TV producer Chuck Fries.

The post-perf reception at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, which saw cast members whooping it up late into the night, included, at right, Christopher Hanke demonstrating the “half monty” for event co-chair Barbara Fodor.

Musical opens Wednesday and plays through June 8.
