New York producer and talent manager Yvette Schumer died Saturday in Los Angeles after a brief illness. She was 86.
Her career spanned almost six decades beginning in New York as producer of “New Faces of 1956,” “Plain and Fancy,” “Winesburg, Ohio,” and the London production of “The Dancing Heiress.”
Yvette Schumer Management, her management company, represented such industry notables as Richard Gere, Lesley Ann Warren, Nicholas Pryor, Michael Jeter, James Rebhorn, Gordon Thompson, Christine Baranski, Walter Bobbie and John Connolly.
Schumer is survived by her cousin.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Canon Theater, 205 N. Canon Drive, BevHills.
