Marjorie Sutton Rothschild

Costume designer

Marjorie Sutton Rothschild, a former costume designer and mother of “Queer as Folk” writer-producer Ron Cowen, died Aug. 24 in Palm Springs of complications following emergency surgery. She was 83.

She worked as a costume designer at 20th Century Fox 1938-1940 and designed costumes for such Fox luminaries as Loretta Young, Tyrone Power, Alice Faye and Sonja Henie.
