Marcia Gardner, wife of producer Arthur Gardner and active member in several community organizations, died of complications from pneumonia on July 10 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, L.A. She was 84.
A Wisconsin native, Gardner came to California in 1940, worked as a registered nurse at the Cedars of Lebanon hospital and was involved with the organizations Women For and Friends of the Beverly Hills Public Library.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, co-founder of Levy-Gardner-Laven Prod. (producers of TV series “The Rifleman” and “The Big Valley” and dozens of films); two sons; daughter-in-law; and two grandchildren.
