L.A. sports talkshow host

Irv Kaze, popular L.A. sports talkshow host, died June 29 of a heart attack after finishing his regular weekly broadcast on KRLA-AM. He was 75.

He previously served as an exec with the Los Angeles Raiders, New York Yankees, Anaheim Angels and several other teams before transitioning to radio broadcasting ten years ago.

The Southern California Sports Broadcasters named him top sports talkshow host six times and he was similarly honored by the Greater Los Angeles Press Club.

He is survived by wife Barbara and son Benjie, a producer with Fox Sports Net.
