Screenwriter, director, editor and producer David Avery of Mad Molly Prods. and Avery Creative Associates, died June 27 after a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles. He was 41.
Avery worked on projects for a variety of clients, including Bank of America, “Inside Edition,” Cable in the Classroom and the White House Council on National Drug Control Policy. Segments of his commercial work air frequently on the Discovery Channel, Arts & Entertainment Network, Nickelodeon and Court TV.
He recently edited a documentary about the Doors and the feature film “A Light in the Darkness.”
A Baltimore native, Avery graduated from the U. of Maryland, College Park.
He is survived by wife Lydia and daughter Ava. Donations can be made to the Ava Lee Dunn Trust.
