Stephanie Striegel has been appointed VP of production for Disney-based Spyglass Entertainment, headed by Roger Birnbaum and Gary Barber, where she will report to Spyglass’ prexy of production, Jonathan Glickman.
She joins the company from her former post as production exec at New Line Cinema, where she was an exec producer of “Price of Glory” and oversaw “How to Deal,” starring Mandy Moore, and “Westward,” from director Jonas Akerlund.
At Spyglass, she will serve as exec in charge of such projects as a live-action feature adaptation of the TV toon “Underdog”; “The Vow,” a co-production with Paramount Pictures; and “Ferrari,” which Spyglass is producing with Sydney Pollack, Michael Mann and Gianni Nunnari.
“It is a great coup for us to bring in Stephanie, who has demonstrated an ability to find great material and get it made,” Glickman said. “We will be relying on her taste and strong relationships to create her own slate of pictures as well as shepherd many of our current projects.”
