HOLLYWOOD — Stars of the Peacock past, present and future joined in celebrating NBC’s 75th anniversary Jan. 9 at the Garden of Eden.
Top brass Jeff Zucker and Scott Sassa played host to talent, from “I Dream of Jeannie’s” Barbara Eden and the cast of “L.A. Law” to stars of the “Law & Order” franchise trio, “Frasier,” “Will & Grace” and frosh comedy “Scrubs.”
George Gray, host of NBC Enterprises’ daily version of “Weakest Link,” which bowed in firsrun syndication last week, said he was “thrilled to be let in the door.”
“I came in, and they started taking pictures of me, but there were these huge stars everywhere,” Gray said.
Part of the semiannual Television Critics Assn. Tour, event appeared to host more stars than any other contingent at the tour’s Pasadena digs. Thesps partied late with NBC brass, producers and press.
The hit of the evening was Mr. T, who joined a journo in a duet of “Treat Your Mama Right,”from a record the former “A-Team” star released in the 1980s.
Another journo was urged by former “Blossom” star Joey Lawrence to resist the temptation to say “Whoa!”
