Morley earns license at Endemol Int’l

Exec to handle all intellectual property exploitation

AMSTERDAM — Dutch-based Endemol has appointed Mike Morley the new executive director of Endemol Intl.’s licensing unit.

He will handle all intellectual property exploitation and oversee Endemol’s global licensing and sales teams in 21 territories. He replaces Gary Carter, who resigned in May to pursue personal objectives.

Endemol Intl. governs international as well as licensing, advertiser-funded programming and interactive activities of Endemol, owned by Spanish media group Telefonica.

Morley will start work Sept. 1, reporting to Endemol chief operating officer Ronald Goes. He is now managing director of Warsaw-based Endemol-Neovision, a TV production company 50% owned by Endemol and 50% by Polish media group ITI.

The step up comes at a time when Endemol is restructuring its licensing division to handle the multiplatform content exploitation of its more than 500 formats.
