Fox b’cast nabs vet caster

Christopher to o'see casting for primetime dramas, laffers, telepics

HOLLYWOOD — Fox Broadcasting has tapped casting director Amy Christopher as director of East Coast casting.

Christopher will oversee all matters relating to casting for the net’s primetime dramas, laffers and telepics.

“Amy is one of the most knowledgeable and respected casting executives in the Northeast,” said Marcia Shulman, executive veep of casting for Fox, to whom she reports. “Her background both on Broadway and with several prestigious theater companies dovetails perfectly with our needs in New York.”

Christopher has cast a slew of Broadway shows, theater companies and festival productions, including “Hedda Gabler” with Kate Burton, “The Man Who Had All the Luck,” with Samantha Mathis and Chris O’Donnell, and “As You Like It,” with Gwyneth Paltrow. She has worked with New York’s Roundabout Theater Co., Williamstown (Mass.) Theater Festival and the Bay Street Theater Festival and others.
