Paula Parker has been promoted to vice president of worldwide operations for the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group.
She will oversee the operations and administration of 30 international offices, including Columbia TriStar’s local language production offices in Europe and Asia. Her duties will include all matters related to day-to-day operations, including personnel, overhead cost assessment, contract and vendor management and new business opportunities.
She will also oversee the day-to-day administration of Sony Pictures Releasing’s domestic distribution offices in Los Angeles, Dallas, New York and Canada and also provide administrative support to the Col TriStar Marketing Group.
Behind the scenes

Parker began her career with SPE in 1989 working for Columbia TriStar Film Distributors Intl. as a manager. She was later promoted to operations director, responsible for the administration of 25 distribution offices including personnel, office startups and joint-venture relations.
Most recently, she served as VP of operations for all of SPE’s international offices, assuming responsibility for the administration of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s theatrical, television and video offices worldwide. Her responsibilities included the day-to-day administration for SPE’s distribution offices throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia.
