Student back in ‘Boston’ class; ‘Med’ calls doctor

DeLizia returns to 'Public,' Blackthorne joins Eye skein

New series regulars are joining the casts of returning Fox drama “Boston Public” and new CBS series “Presidio Med.”

Cara DeLizia (Disney Channel’s “So Weird”) will return to “Boston Public” this fall, reprising her role as Marcie Kendall, an outspoken high school student who went toe-to-toe with the vice principal on the Monday night series last season.

The character had accused a teacher (whom the vice principal was dating) of slapping her and got that teacher fired. This season, opinionated Marcie — now a senior — works as a student aide to the principal.

David E. Kelley Prods. produces “Boston Public” in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television.

Meanwhile, on “Presidio Med,” actor Paul Blackthorne will portray Matt Slingerland, an internist with the hospital at the center of the story.

Character is British by birth but received his college and post-graduate education in the U.S. He has completely embraced American culture and sometimes seems more American than the other doctors.

Confident, sometimes bordering on cocky, he has no problem breaking the rules if it gets the job done.
