Tenpercenter had spent 7 years at Endeavor
UTA has hired talent agent Darren Statt and welcomed his biggest client, wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson.
Statt had spent the past seven years at Endeavor, a stint that ended a week ago after the agency suspended him for getting vocal with DreamWorks execs over a misunderstanding about a meeting. Statt has been a presence in the Rock’s life since the latter began transitioning from the squared circle to the bigscreen with “The Scorpion King.” The Rock resigned from Endeavor right after Statt did.
“His energy and the excitement he brings toward working with both new and established talent are consistent with UTA’s spirit and philosophy,” UTA board member Jeremy Zimmer said.
It is unclear which of Statt’s other clients will stay or join him at UTA. His list included Ryan Reynolds, Ashley Scott, Estella Warren, Rhys Ifans, Jeri Ryan, Jeremy Davies, Cillian Murphy, Ali G and Paul Nicholls
