NBC files for more ‘Forensic’

Skein has been averaging 8.3 million viewers

NBC has reopened Court TV’s “Forensic Files,” acquiring four more hours of the cabler’s signature show to air this fall.

The Peacock has scheduled hourlong episodes of “Files” on two consecutive Saturdays, Oct. 12 and Oct. 19, at 8 p.m.

Net has been broadcasting repurposed episodes of “Forensic Files” on Sundays this summer, averaging 8.3 million viewers and a 2.4 rating/7 share in adults 18-49.

“Their decision to join with us in this first example of reverse repurposing validates . . .the power of the show to attract and retain a valuable audience,” said Court TV CEO Henry Schleiff. “This has been a true ‘win-win’ for both our networks.”
