Looks like Heather Locklear won’t be signing a talent holding deal after all.
Numerous nets had been pursuing the former “Spin City” star, and at least one web — NBC — came close to landing a pact (Daily Variety, July 9). In the end, however, disagreement over coin and other factors caused Locklear and her ICM reps to choose not to do a deal.
Instead, Locklear will likely come on board a series project already in development, should a particular script prove appealing. It’s a formula that’s worked before: Locklear has always been cast into series projects (often after they’ve bowed), leading to one of the best track records of small screen success for any female thesp currently working.
In the meantime, Locklear has plenty of feature work in her future, including the Warner Bros. ani/live action pic “Looney Tunes: Back in Action” and MGM’s “Molly Gunn.”
