'Sesame''s Knell to be interviewed by Winslow

Sesame Workshop prexy-CEO Gary Knell will unveil the story behind “Sesame Street” during a Mipcom Junior “Talking With …” session Oct. 6.

The established informal interview session held at Mipcom Junior and Mipdoc (doc screenings), offers market participants opportunities to interact with the movers and shakers of the TV industry.

Previous guests include “Teletubbies” creator Ann Wood and docmeister Brian Lapping.

Knell will be interviewed by George Winslow, director of special projects for the Reed Television Group (U.S.).

Knell, who took over as prexy-CEO of Sesame Workshop in September 1999, has been instrumental in launching versions of “Sesame Street,” “Dragon Tales” and other Workshop properties.
