MTV and World Wrestling Entertainment have found a new location for their reality series “Tough Enough.”
Producers were forced to scramble to find a new house to tape the show — which follows a group of young contestants as they train to become wrestling stars — after “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer and his neighbors in Malibu’s Broad Beach objected to the production being in their neighborhood.
According to EIDC spokesman Morrie Goldman, “Tough Enough” has moved to a house just north of Malibu and west of Topanga, in an unincorporated part of Los Angeles County.
Production starts next week on “Tough Enough” and is expected to last nine weeks.
“We think it’s great we were able to keep the show here in Southern California,” Goldman said. “The attitudes in Malibu don’t speak for L.A. county… Malibu isn’t the most film-friendly place in the world.”
