James Cromwell (“Babe,” “L.A. Confidential”) has already won a minor victory in SAG’s upcoming election.
Cromwell, a first-time candidate for the SAG board, will be listed as the first of 109 candidates for the Hollywood board, followed by incumbent board member Shelley Fabares on the ballot. They are among about 15 high-profile candidates seeking slots on SAG’s ruling body.
Guild rules require a random listing of all candidates rather than an alphabetical listing. The Hollywood contest will name 31 members and 22 alternates to the board, which is being shrunk from 107 to 71 seats.
