Fox Kids unit sets ESPNI sales rep

Ferro to manage day-to-day operations

MIAMI — ESPN Intl. has been named the exclusive worldwide advertising sales rep for feevee Fox Kids Latin America, which was acquired by the Walt Disney Co. in 2001.

Day-to-day operations of the sales efforts will be managed by Rita Ferro, director of international advertising sales at ESPN Inc.

ESPN Intl. has sales staff based in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Miami and New York City.

ESPN already represents ad sales for its own four feevees in the region as well as the Spanish-lingo Web site

ESPN Intl. is also the exclusive Latin American ad sales rep outside of Brazil for six Globosat channels, including SporTV and Telecine.
