Carlton Cuse (“Nash Bridges,” “Martial Law”) has signed up to serve as showrunner on WB pilot “The Black Sash.”
Project, which revolves around a former cop who turns into a martial arts hero looking for justice, is still in contention for a possible midseason pickup by the Frog. Cuse signed a pay-or-play deal to join the show, which comes from Warner Bros. TV and Tollin-Robbins.
“Black Sash” was created by Robert Kamen, who also exec produces along with Dylan Sellers, Michael Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola.
Cuse, whose credits also include “The Adventures of Briscoe County, Jr.,” is repped by William Morris and Jeffrey Finkelstein.
