Zomba labels Lipari sr. VP

Exec to handle special projects, cross-marketing opps

Zomba Record Group, home to teen pop uber-label Jive Records, has named Julia Lipari senior vice president of marketing and special projects, reporting to Jive prexy Barry Weiss and general manager Tom Carrabba.

In her new post, Lipari will continue to handle special projects and cross-marketing opportunities for the label, whose artist roster includes ‘N Sync, Britney Spears and R. Kelly.

Exec was most recently veepee of marketing and special projects at Jive, where she oversaw the label’s involvement in the wildly popular “Now That’s What I Call Music” compilation series. Lipari also inked marketing and licensing deals with companies including McDonald’s, Verizon and Mattel.
