USA Network has scheduled “A Motown Christmas.”
The basic-cable network will telecast a primetime one-hour holiday concert event Dec. 8, featuring performances by Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, India.Arie, Brian McKnight and Vanessa Carlton.
The concert will be taped at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. It’s produced by USA Network and exec produced by Ken Erlich.
Motown is a division of Universal Music Enterprises, while USA Network is a program service of Universal Television Group.
“We are excited about the opportunity to team with our partners at Universal Music Group and Motown to present this unique musical event and premiere special of the 2002 holiday season,” said Chris Sloan, senior VP of alternative programming for USA Network. “What better way to celebrate the holidays than with the entire Motown family?”
