Exec to o'see music unit's worldwide media, corporate relations
NEW YORK — Keith Estabrook has been tapped senior vice president of communications for Sony Music Entertainment.
Based in New York, he will report to SME chief Tommy Mottola.
Estabrook, who will replace former communications head Patricia Keil, will oversee the Sony music unit’s worldwide media and corporate relations, as well as internal communications, corporate giving and special events for the major label group.
Keil departed her post earlier this month to take up an exec VP position with the communications department at NBC Networks.
Estabrook was most recently a communications consultant working with BMG unit Arista Records and ZelnickMedia, an investment group set up by former BMG topper Strauss Zelnick.
Prior to that, Estabrook was veepee of worldwide corporate communications at BMG (then called BMG Entertainment). He also worked for six years as VP, corporate communications and special projects, Hachette Filipacchi Magazines.
