LevyMann bows shows on music

Outfit to focus on family-skewed projects

CANNES — Saban co-founder and musical artist Shuki Levy and producer-choreographer Anita Mann have established a production-distribution outfit called LevyMann Entertainment.

The company, based in Beverly Hills, made its debut this week at the Mipcom TV trade show. LevyMann will focus on family-skewed projects with a strong musical foundation.

First up are “Itty Bitty HeartBeats,” an animated musical series for young children, and musical love story “Masada,” composed by Levy. Also in pre-production is “Beep Bop Babies,” a musicvideo show aimed at hip babies and their parents, and “7 Deep,” a hip-hop dance series for teens.

Levy is a prolific composer, songwriter and performing artist. Emmy-award winner Mann has been honored by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as one of the top five contempo choreographers.
