EMI ups Gerson to exec VP, U.S.

Exec to continue to develop, nurture and sign talent

Jody Gerson has been upped to executive vice president, U.S., EMI Music Publishing.

Gerson, most recently senior veep, West Coast Creative, will continue to develop, nurture and sign talent to EMI Music Publishing as well as to run company’s West Coast operations. She will continue to be based in L.A.

During her 12 years at EMI, Gerson has signed and developed Enrique Iglesias, Alicia Keys, Dallas Austin, Jermaine Dupri, Arrested Development, Deborah Cox and Luscious Jackson, among others.

“Jody has consistently impressed me with her creative ability and business acumen,” said Martin Bandier, chairman-CEO of EMI Music Publishing.
