LONDON — British music major EMI has appointed Caryn Tomlinson to the new position of director, artist relations.
Tomlinson, 35, will report directly to EMI Recorded Music’s chairman and CEO Alain Levy and vice chairman David Munns. Her primary duty will be to oversee non-business relations between the company and its talent.
Tomlinson joins EMI from Mick Jagger’s Marathon Music, where she was the business co-ordinator for the Rolling Stone’s solo career.
Her previous experience included a number of artist-related posts, notably a seven-year stint with EMI Publishing in the U.S. and the U.K.
