British diskery the EMI Group has tapped veteran PR exec Jeanne Meyer to head up its corporate communications department in North America as senior vice president.
Reporting to London-based communications senior veepee Amanda Conroy, Meyer will be based in EMI’s Gotham offices and work closely with the major’s North American topper, David Munns.
Meyer boasts an eclectic background in the PR field, most recently as head of corporate communications at retailer Toys R Us. Prior to that, she was a senior VP at the now-defunct New York online entertainment company Pseudo Programs.
Exec also held posts at several well-known media flackeries, including Dan Klores Communications and Robinson Lerer & Montgomery. She has repped such entertainment brands as EMI Music Publishing, BMG, Polygram, America Online, Showtime and Discovery Communications.
