Fete recognizes most played Latin songs in U.S.

MIAMI — Songwriters, composers and music publishers org BMI has skedded its ninth annual Latin Music Awards for May 8 in Hollywood, Fla.

Awards, including Latin song of the year, songwriter of the year and publisher of the year, will recognize the songwriters and publishers of the most played Latin songs on U.S. radio and television.

Ceremony will coincide with the Billboard Latin Music Conference & Awards 2002, skedded for May 7-9 in Miami Beach.

BMI is an American performing rights organization repping 300,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers.
