McCartney in motion for Driving USA tour

Tour to have 20 perfs in States before heading to Europe

Paul McCartney will perform April 26 at New York’s Madison Square Garden and May 4 at Staples Center in Los Angeles as part of his Driving USA tour.

The two-month concert tour of the U.S., McCartney’s first in almost 10 years, opens April 1 in Oakland and runs through May 18, when it will close in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He will give 20 perfs in the States before embarking on a European tour.

McCartney’s band will include guitarist Rusty Anderson and drummer Abe Laboriel Jr., both of whom are featured on his recent Capitol release “Driving Rain.” Brian Ray also will be in the band.

McCartney will be performing material from the recent disc plus Beatles, Wings and solo material.
