NEW YORK — Broadway grosses wilted in the heat during Week 6 (July 1-7), as holiday diversions took precedence over theatergoing. B.O. dropped by a hefty 12.7% to $11,946,658 for the week. Attendance was down by to 202,494.

Virtually all shows saw big B.O. dropoffs. The only three exceptions were B.O. behemoths “Mamma Mia!” and “The Lion King,” which saw minor upticks, and “Les Miserables,” which was up by $37,723.

“The Full Monty,” which announced its final weeks in newspaper ads on July 10, was down by a whopping $83,801 to $295,972.

The 18 musicals grossed $9,978,688 for 83.5% of the Broadway total, with attendance of 159,699 representing 83.1% of capacity.

The 10 plays grossed $1,967,970 for 16.5% of the Broadway total, with attendance of 42,795 representing 54.6% of capacity.

Average ticket prices were $62.48 for musicals, $45.99 for plays and $58.99 for all shows.
