Road grosses

NEW YORK — Bucking the Broadway trend, road grosses soared during Week 15 (Sept. 2-8), as receipts rose by 20.9% to $11,821,689.

“42nd Street” had a strong showing in Milwaukee, grossing $879,593, and “The Lion King” continued to roar in Ft. Worth, nabbing $1,266,061 at Bass Performance Hall.
