Allen’s a Greek God

World Brief

Woody Allen plays himself — on video — in a production of his play “God” at Norway’s Ullensaker Theater.

In the comedy, set in 500 B.C., two Greeks — Diabetes and Hepatitis — are preparing a play for the Athens Drama Festival. Three days before the premiere they are in crisis, and they look for help from God, from the auditorium and from the playwright, i.e., Allen.

Allen’s part was shot in New York for last week’s Scandinavian premiere of “God.”
