HOLLYWOOD — New Line Cinema and Davis Entertainment are in final negotiations to reteam hip-hop stars Method Man and Redman for the urban comedy “Ghetto, Inc.”
The pair, who toplined U’s stoner comedy “How High,” will also produce with Davis. Shauna Garr, a producer on “How High,” will also take a producing role.
Penned by tyro scribe Sheck Bugge, pic is the tale of three best friends who decide to form a rap label as their ticket out of the ‘hood. It will be seeking a new writer.
Davis exec Lil Phillips, who brought “Ghetto, Inc.” into Davis last summer, will oversee the project with New Line executive VP production Richard Brener and director of development Matt Moore.
