Pope John Paul II biopic “The Walls Came Tumbling Down” is due to scout Prague sites next week. Paul Williams is producer on the epic covering the life of Polish-born prelate. The line producer is Laura Medina. Oscar-winner John Briley (“Ghandi,” “Cry Freedom”) wrote the saga that charts the pope’s rise against the fall of communism.
Shooting should start in Rome in July, moving to Prague for lensing from August to November, with an expected side trip to Poland. Stillking Films is in line to handle Czech production services, with Stillking’s Warsaw branch covering services in Poland.
