Oscar Watch: Paul McCartney

Smith, McKellen, Travolta to present

Paul McCartney is set to make his debut Oscar performance at the 74th Academy Awards Sunday, while nominees Maggie Smith and Ian McKellen, as well as John Travolta, are on board as presenters.

McCartney will sing his nominated song “Vanilla Sky,” from Cameron Crowe’s film of the same name. He was previously nominated in 1973 for the song “Live and Let Die,” and nabbed a 1970 nod, with the Beatles, for “Let It Be.”
