Duo to serve as 'Voices of Oscar'

Glenn Close and Donald Sutherland will serve as “the Voices of Oscar” at Sunday’s 74th Academy Awards.

As the kudocast’s voiceover announcers, Close and Sutherland will be both seen and heard. Their duties include welcoming viewers to the ceremony, announcing presenters coming to the stage, introducing key film elements of the show and teasing upcoming Oscarcast highlights.

Joining Academy Award nominees Ethan Hawke, Ben Kingsley and Will Smith as presenters will be Sandra Bullock, Jodie Foster, Hugh Grant, Samuel L. Jackson, Ali MacGraw, Ryan O’Neal, Ryan Phillippe, Sharon Stone, Naomi Watts and Reese Witherspoon.

Show, to be held in the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland, will be televised live on ABC beginning at 5:30 p.m. PST.
