Myriad options ‘I’ll be You’ script

Tapestry Films to produce romantic comedy

MILAN — Kirk D’Amico’s sales company Myriad Pictures has optioned the original screenplay “I’ll Be You” by Nina Coleman, for Tapestry Films to produce.

Script is a romantic comedy about a high-flying female exec who swaps places with her assistant on a quest to find true love.

Myriad will handle worldwide distribution rights, with D’Amico, production prexy Lucas Foster and vp acquisitions and development Karen Roberts taking producer credits. Tapestry’s Jennifer Gibgot will be the lead producer on the pic.

“I’ll Be You” is the second screenplay by Coleman to be optioned for Tapestry by Myriad. The first, college campus thriller “Breaking The Girl,” is currently casting. Tapestry previously produced “Tangled” and “Van Wilder” for Myriad, and the J-Lo vehicle “The Wedding Planner” for Intermedia.

Coleman also recently sold her script “London Calling” to Deep River Prods., with Sarah Michelle Gellar set to star.

D’Amico said: “We have developed a great working relationship with Jennifer Gibgot and Tapestry Films and are looking forward to working with the team again on “I’ll Be You”.
