PARIS — French film icon Jeanne Moreau will head the second Marrakech Intl. Film Festival, which will unspool Sept. 18-22.
Moreau, who presided over the Cannes festival jury in 1995, has starred in over 80 films.
Among other fest highlights is a round-table discussion on religion headed by Martin Scorsese. The fest also will pay homage to helmers David Lynch and Pedro Almodovar, both of whom will be on hand.
Fest was started by the king of Morocco, Mohammed VI, and includes a competition for indie features and shorts. This year it also will focus on films from Hong Kong, Sweden, the Middle East and Africa.
