Event is first for former Sundance co-director Guillemet
MIAMI — The Miami Film Festival will celebrate its 20th edition Feb. 21-March 2, shifting its schedule by about a month. The 2002 fest was held at the end of January.
The 2003 fest will be the first under the leadership of newly appointed director Nicole Guillemet, a former co-director of the Sundance Film Festival. Miami will announce submission information and deadlines in mid-August. Separately, the Palm Beach Intl. Film Festival announced its eighth edition will be held April 3-10. Palm Beach aims to become a juried fest next year, with competitive categories for best picture, director, actor, actress and screenplay, as well as audience favorite.
